Ehoud Avriel
Ehoud Avriel (in Hebrew: אהודאבריאל) is a leader Sioniste born in 1917 in Austria. He emigrates in Palestine in 1939.
Avriel counts among the founders of the Kibboutz Néot-Mordéhaï. During the Second world war, it sits at Constantinople and undertakes various activities of rescue to it.
At the sides of Shaoul Avigour, Avriel organizes the illegal emigration since Paris. The day before the War of Independence, it leaves for the Czechoslovakia, in order to obtain weapons for the defense of the future State. These last arrive in Israel in April 1948, and will be used to the combatants of the Opération Nachshon and with defense as Mishmar-Haémek.
After the independence of Israel, Avriel is named ambassador of the State of Israel in several countries and directs various governmental services. Ehoud Avriel dies in 1980. The Néot-Mordéhaï kibbutz maintains until today its memory.
