Biography
Elgimar Ier was the true founder of the dynasty of Oldenbourg. He is probalement the nephew and heir to the count Huno d' Oldenbourg. Its family is originating in Osbruck, it had properties in the Lerigau and Hasegau. Thanks to its marriage with Richenza de Ditmarschen, Eldemar Ier acquired territories in the east of the Weser.
Genealogy
Elgimar Ier belongs to the first branch of the Maison of Oldenbourg. This branch gave kings to the Denmark and with the Norway, It died out in 1863 with died of Frederic VII of Denmark.
