Egidio Romualdo Duni
Egidio Romualdo Duni (February 9th 1709 with Will subdue, Royaume of Naples - June 11th 1775 with Paris), Neapolitan type-setter.
Biography
Egidio Romualdo Duni studied under Francesco Lasting with the Conservatorio di Santa Maria di Loreto of Naples, was initially in competition with Pergolèse and sometimes carried it on this Master, came in 1757 to generally set at Paris, where it composed, on the words of Favart, various light operas which almost all had success:
- Nerone (1735);
- the Painter in love with his model (1757), words of Louis Anseaume;
- the badly kept Girl (1758);
- Mazet (1761);
- Two hunters and dairy the (1763), booklet of Louis Anseaume;
- the Fairy Urgèle (1765), booklet of Favart;
- the Small bell (1766), booklet of Louis Anseaume;
- the Harvesters (1768);
- the Shoes (1768).
