Eggs of the ostrich
the Eggs of the ostrich is a Play of André Roussin.
Argument
The part is in two acts, the first occurring one afternoon, the second act being held the next morning. Hippolyte Barjus, a tradesman coleric and conformist, saw one afternoon when it is obliged to take note of several elements which they refused to see: his/her oldest son, Charles, known as Milk, fashion designer young person exceptionally gifted, are homosexual; the junior, Roger, artist and mechanic, are made maintain by a Polish countess. As for his Therese wife, exasperated by the temperament of her husband, it reveals to him that it has liked another of them for ten years, and that it remained only for the children. Under the placid eye of his/her mother-in-law Mrs. Grombert, Hippolyte storm, threat, howls, to end up accepting his/her children as they are.With the wire of time and adaptations, certain points of the intrigue and text knew variations. In the filmed version of 1957, the Polish countess became Japanese.

The part was adapted to the cinema in 1957 by Denys of Patellière, with still Pierre Fresnay in the main role.A version for television was turned within the framework of the emission To the theater this evening: it was diffused for the first time the September 18th 1972 on the second channel of ORTF.
