Effect edge (mathematics)

See also: Effect edge

In Mathematical, and more particularly in numerical Analysis, a effect edge is a phenomenon of instability numerical at the edge of the interval of study: while trying to calculate a solution approached with a problem (Interpolation, differential equation, etc), it happens that one manages to have a good approximation safe on the edge; for example, the Phenomenon of Runge.
