Eek-HAVE-Foam , of its true name Rypton Joseph Hylton, is a singer of Reggae jamaïcain born the November 19th 1957 with Kingston.
Biography
Eek-HAVE-foam grew in Kingston and was discovered a passion for the song at the 15 years age whereas it was still at the school. It is at the 17 years age, in 1974, which it records under its true name, its first two titles My father' S Land , then Creation . These titles were produced by its mathematics professor, Mr. Dehaney. It is in 1980, that it starts to briefly work with The Papa Roots, Black Ark, Jah Life. Its first individual very discussed Wa Do Dem leaves in 1981, followed Modelling Queen , both resulting from its first album Bubble Up Yu Hip and produced by the singer Linval Thompson. It continues in 1981 with individual the Once has Virgin , Modelling Queen and Virgin Girl . He will work the following year with Scientist, the producer Junjo Lawes, and the Roots Radics also come to give their support to him.It leaves many tubes all marked by its so particular style, which made its signature throughout the world. It succeeds in the same year being programmed for the festival Reggae Sunsplash. Its service is very noticed with its title Biddy biddy beng , and thus it returns for the festival in 1982 and 1984. In 1985, produced by Anthony and Ronald Welch, it leaves its first album Assassinator under the American label CLOSE-CROPPED Records. Following a fall of audience, Eek-HAVE-Foam records its following album in England with the producer Cliff Carnegie.
Then, in 1988, its success is concretized and it manages to convince its new public with Eek-A-Nomics . It signs the following year with the label Island, and takes down even the role of “Conceited person Smitty” in the film New Jack City . Until the middle of the Nineties, it will continue to record under this label, and some of its songs are produced by Augustus Clarke, Daddy-O and Matt Robinson. In 1996, it records Black Cowboy on the label Sunset Blvd. /Explicit. Its voice then seems to have dropped by an octave, but its special “bingy-boingy” is always quite present.
Until the end of the Nineties, it continues and connects between 200 and 250 spectacles per annum. He collaborates in particular for this period with various artists like Cocoa Brovaz, POD, Papas Culture or MC Torch. After appearances in several compilations with the the United Kingdom, it leaves beginning 2001 Eeksperience on the label Coach House Records, followed Mouse gone wild and Eek-a-speeka .
