Ee (Netherlands)
Ee (in Clippings: IE ) is a village of hillock in the commune of Dongeradeel, in province of Frise. The village is located at the east of Dokkum, along the Dokkumer Grootdiep, and counts approximately 780 inhabitants (2004).
The hillock was preserved in its original state; the village of Ee has the statute of village protected . In Ee one finds several types of firm S and a church réformeé of 1220. One created there a museum of the culture of the flax, which is the only one of this type in the Netherlands.
Ee is the shortest Toponyme of the Netherlands, and the only one of two letters.
