Edwin Edwards

Edwin Edwards , democratic politician American, born the August 7th 1927 with Marksville in the Louisiana.

His/her father, Clarence Edwards, were a sharecropper Presbytérien of an origin of motié Cadien, whereas his/her mother, Agnès (Brouillette) Edwards, was a cadienne Catholique and French-speaking person. At the house, Edwin Edwards spoke the English and the French cadien.

He was the first French-speaking governor of the Louisiana since the XIXe century, of 1972 with 1980, then of 1984 with 1988, and finally of 1992 with 1996.
