Militant and a one elected
Member of the Socialist party and the current CERES (Chevènement) it becomes, on October 1st, 1978, deputy of Paris to the favor of a by-election (after the invalidation of outgoing) where it beats leaving it RPR Christian of Malène. It becomes Member of the Commission of the defense and the armed forces of the National Assembly. She with Marie Jacq, one of both only is thus elected of the socialist group.
A Minister
After the victory of François Mitterrand, it is named Ministre delegated to Youth and the Sports near the Minister for the Spare Time - André Henry. She is re-elected in the appointed tread of the XIV district of Paris. In March 1983, it is chief candidate of the Union of the Left in the XIV district and will be elected adviser of Paris. In the 3rd government Mauroy it becomes Ministre delegated to the spare Time, Youth and the Sports. From these three years to the Ministry for Youth and Sports, it leaves the Loi Avice.
CERES was always very interested by the questions of defense, for this reason it is named Secretary of State near the Minister for Defense (Charles Hernu then Paul Quilès) in the government Fabius.
