Edwige Antier

Edwige Antier (born the May 15th 1942 with Toulon, VAr) is a pediatrist and a French political woman.

She is the author of many books on the children, education and the family. She was chroniqueuse radio with France Inter, and currently with France Info.

Edwige Antier is since the municipal elections of 2001 first assistant UMP with the mayor of the 8th district of Paris. In 2007 it is made elect as deputy for the deputy UMP Pierre Lellouche at the time of the legislative elections in the Fourth district of Paris.

It chaired of 2003 to 2007 the French branch of the Worldwide association of the friends of the childhood (A.M.A.D.E.), whose it had accepted the presidency provided that her husband, Robert Regard, is named by it general secretary. 151.992 euros were diverted treasury of association, by her husband without the knowledge of the pediatrist, ensured one and the other at the time of the lawsuit which was held in July 2007. Diverted funds, invested on the own accounts of Edwige Antier by accounts - checks or transfers carried out by her husband, came from gifts. The money intended for the assistance with childhood had in fact used to ensure the way of life of the couple and to help one of the children of Robert Regard who was creating a company. They are the other leaders of association, realizing facts, which carried the business in front of justice, which led Edwige Antier to refund the sums diverted before the lawsuit and to resign.

At the time of the lawsuit on July 3rd, 2007, Edwige Antier says " victim of his/her husband, of the treasurer of association, the board of directors which did not do its work and of the bank who does not have it avertie".

July 10th, 2007, Edwige Antier was condemned to six months of suspended sentence and 15.000 euros of fine for concealment of funds, and to a prohibition to carry on an activity in an association throughout one five year. Robert Regard was condemned to nine months of suspended sentence, 15.000 euros of fine and with a prohibition to exert functions in an association during five years. Both announced that they were going to make call. Edwige Antier announced on her site being in divorce pending.
