Edward Goldsmith

Edward " Teddy" Goldsmith (born in 1928 in Paris) is a philosopher environmentalist, ecologist, founder of the review The Ecologist (1969), cofounder of association Survival International (1968) and association Ecoropa (1975). Brother of the tycoon James " Jimmy" Goldsmith .

Teddy Goldsmith is particularly known for its anti-industrial, rural ideas and its sympathy to the traditional people and their systems of thought. In the political movement of the English Greens, he is seen like romantic, which nostalgiquement looks at the world of before the Industrial revolution.

He is one of the cofounders of association Survival International. He was récipendiaire alternate Nobel Prize in 1991, for his efforts of pioneer to raise the awakening of the ecological problems.
