Edward Boscawen

Edward Boscawen (born the August 19th 1711, deceased the January 10th 1761 with Hatchland' S Park, Surrey) was an admiral English.

  • In 1748, it failed in its counter-offensive on Pondichéry against Dupleix.
  • During the War Seven Year old, it beat the French fleet of 14 vessels charged to ensure an unloading in Scotland, with the battle of Lagos (August 19th, 1759), off the coasts of Portugal.
  • After the resumption of the hostitilities in Canada in 1758, it undertakes the seat of Louisbourg to the mouth of the the St. Lawrence and receives the rendering of the French after six weeks of seat.
