Edward Bach
The British doctor Edward Bach (1886 - 1936) after having made research in the homeopathic field, imagined and developed 38 preparations: they are floral elixirs prepared starting from petals of flowers collected, put in water pre and exposed to the sun, preparations stabilized by alcohol (Brandy) and put out of bottles. The effectiveness of the Flowers of Bach was not tested scientifically. Nevertheless their use is spread more and more and the elixirs are diffused in France in pharmacy since the Nineties, after being marketed initially exclusively by correspondence and in the stores of natural products, dietetic, Biocoop S etc. The Flowers of Bach always bore the name of their founder: '' flowers of Dr. Bach '' or floral elixirs of Dr. Bach .
Biography
Edward Bach was born close to Birmingham, the September 24th 1886. It carried out studies of medicine to London, and then worked on the development of Vaccin S according to the homeopathic principles . Bach empirically discovered its method and by a fortunate coincidence. In contact with the flowers, it felt the intuition of their subtle contribution and the possible effect on the psyché human one and emotional balance. In 1930, it completely gave up its post of homeopath to leave in nature in search the wild flowers which were soon known under the name of the “7 healers”, then quickly the “12 healers”. The floral remedies reached finally the number of 38 floral preparations, + a 39ème preparation - most known (which consists of a mixture of 5 synergistic remedies) - called " Rescue Remedy" or " Remedy d'urgence".The other work of Bach is entitled Guéris yourself . It exposes its considerations to it on the disease, the cure and, overall, its personal philosophy to be it and of the life (near to the philosophy rosicrucian).
Dr. Bach died the November 27th 1936, probably of exhaustion. He was 50 years old: he had a rather fragile health. They are his/her former collaborators who took care of the perenniality of his work; the place where Bach had settled, Mount Vernon, became the Center Bach , one produced there today floral elixirs for the whole world.
Continuators of the principles of Bach created their own floral elixirs like Philippe Deroide (Déva Laboratories). Andréas Korte (Elixirs Andréas Korte) created elixirs of orchises, minerals and even of dolphin.
