Edward, 3rd baron Stafford
Edward, 3rd baron Stafford (born on January 17th, 1535, † on October 18th, 1603) was ambassador of England at the court of Henri III.
Wire of the baron Henry Stafford and Ursula Pole, it was named ambassador at the court of France in 1583. It had as a secretary the geographer Richard Hakluyt. He married Maria Stanley, the girl of Edward Stanley, 3rd count de Derby and of Dorothy Howard (itself girl of the duke of Norfolk).
He was buried on October 21st, 1603 in the cemetery of the church St Mary de Stafford.
He had as children:
- Edward Stafford (1568-1568),
- Edward Stafford, 4th baron Stafford (1572-1625) who married Isabel Forster about 1595,
- Henry Stafford, 5th baron Stafford (1621-1637).
- Mary Stafford, 1st countess Stafford (1619-1693) who married William Howard, 1st Stafford Viscount in 1637.
- Dorothy Stafford (born about 1572).
