Edouard de Barthélemy

Edouard Marie, count de Barthélemy , born with Angers on November 21st, 1830, deceased in Paris on May 30th, 1888.

Former listener with the seal of the Titles, former member of the General advice of the the Marne, mayor of Courmelois, regular member or residing of the Company of agriculture, trades, sciences and arts of the Marne, member corresponding of the national Academy of Rheims, and many Learned societies. Scholar, one can quote some of his principal works: History of Châlons-sur-Marne and its institutions, in-8° (1854); Old diocese of Châlons-sur-Marne, 2 vol. in-8° (1861). ; Synopsis of the official report of the research of the Champagne nobility made by Caumartin, 1867; History of the archers, principal rafters and arquebusiers of the town of Rheims, 1875; Cartulaires of Évêché de Châlons, the abbey of Cheminon, Signy, Saint-Oricle, the establishments of the Temple in the diocese of Rheims, without counting a multitude of articles published in the Directory of the Marne, the Review of Rheims, the Memories of all the learned societies of the area, etc
