Edouard Thilges

Jules Georges Edouard Thilges , born with Clervaux on February 17th 1817 and deceased with Luxembourg on July 9th 1904, was a Luxembourg politician.

Biography

  • 1833-1838 : Studies of right to the universities of Brussels and Liege

  • 1841: Becomes lawyer with the court of Diekirch
  • 1854-1856 (Sept. 23 - May 24th): General administrator of the communal Businesses
  • 1859-1860 (July 15th - Sept. 26): Managing director of the Interior and Justice
  • 1867-1870 (Dec. 3 - February 7th): Managing director of the communal Businesses
  • 1885-1888 (20 févr. - Sept. 22): Minister of state and president of the Government, Managing director of the Foreign affairs
  • 1888-1895 President of the Council of State
