Edouard Limonov
Edouard Limonov (in Russian, ЭдуардВениаминовичЛимонов ), born the February 22nd 1943, is a Franco-Russian political writer who took part in the movement of the dissidents in the last years of the Soviet Union. That involved its exile with the the United States, then in France where he collaborated in communist newspapers ( Humanity ) and nationalists ( the Shock of the month ) like with the International Idiot , which nourished its reputation of “red-brown” (i.e. fascistic and communist) or national-Bolshevik.
Returned to Russia, the writer founded under the direction of Alexandre Douguine the Parti national-Bolshevik (GNP). After having broken with this last it had a strongly provocative behavior which led it to purge four years of prison, Limonov was released under the pressure of an international campaign.
At the time of its last congress held with the beginning of the year 2006, the Party national-Bolshevik burst. A majority fraction excluded Edouard Limonov from the Party. Limonov maintained its action with its partisans under the same name and a third fraction joined the Union of youth eurasist, connects young person party of Alexandre Douguine.
Since, clashes very violent one (with use of weapons) opposed the partisans of Limonov and Douguine. The seconds reproach the first for working against the Russia and for the Occident.
