Edouard Descamps
Baron Edouard Eugene François Descamps , born with Belœil on August 27th, 1847 and died in Brussels on January 17th, 1933, is a Belgian politician .
He becomes doctor in right and administrative businesses with the the University of Louvain. He undertakes a lawyer career with Mons and Leuwen.
He enters to the catholic Parti for which he sits like senator for the District of Leuwen of 1901 to 1907. He is then named Ministre for Sciences and Arts of 1907 to August 5th, 1910 for the governments of Trooz and Schollaert. After its mandate of minister, he becomes Vice-président of the Senate of 1911 to 1914.
He teaches the right to the University of Louvain where he becomes professor emeritus thereafter. He is honorary doctor of the universities of Paris, Oxford and Edinburgh.
