Edna Krapabelle

Edna Krapabelle , ( Edna Krabappel in VO and with the Quebec), is a fictitious character of the animated televised series Simpson .

Edna Krapabelle is the type even of the professor ridiculed by the system. She was idealistic but had to go obviously and face reality because of the limited resources put at her disposal and vis-a-vis the behavior of the children. Its personal general culture is rather defective, thus brushing a caricature of the American professors of the public sector, as an episode will prove it in which LISA will steal all the handbooks of the professors.

Love life

Edna lives separate of her husband (who fled with their marital adviser…) and is bored in company of the men, even if it is felt well that its biological clock works it from time to time.

In the first seasons, it had been depicted like sexually very aggressive. It is one of the rare cases where characters had a history evolving/moving with the series. Actually, Edna Krapabelle has for most of the time the image of a rather easy, known girl to leave that a chance in its Don Juan… One sees it for example having short connections with Tahiti Bob (during season 7), Homer Simpson in Future-Drama (season 16), or with Moe Ssyslak in the History apparently without end (season 17). From season 8, in the episode the teaching Love, it develops a secret, romantic but stable connection with Seymour Skinner, the headmaster. However, this relation is opposed by the mother of Skinner, Agnès, who sees of an evil eye this relation; and by the fact that Skinner does not seem ready for the marriage….
