Edmund Kean , born the March 17th 1787 and dead the May 15th 1833, is a British Acteur , considered in its time as the largest actor in the world.
The French dramatic author of the 19th century Alexandre Dumas devoted a famous Play to him which took part in the development of its legend. (part whose Jean-Paul Sartre for his part was inspired by the same name: Kean). Its life was carried several times at the cinema, in a German film of Rudolf Biebrach ( Kean , 1921), a French film of Alexandre Volkoff ( Kean , 1923) and two Italian, one of Guido Brignone ( Kean , 1940) the other of Vittorio Gassman and Francesco Rosi ( Kean , 1956).
