Edmund James Flynn

honourable the Edmund James Flynn (born the November 16th 1847 with Bored, and deceased the June 7th 1927 with Quebec) was a lawyer and politician Québécois.

He continues studies with the seminar of Quebec then to the Université Laval in Quebec. He is allowed with the bar of the province of Quebec the September 16th 1873. He follows his lawyer occupation in various cabinets. He is also qualified schoolteacher and bachelor of law and Roman law professor to the Laval university.

In 1879, it joined the rows of the Conservative party of Quebec. Under the government of Joseph-Adolphe Chapleau, it holds the post of police chief of the Grounds of the Crown. Under that of John Jones Ross, he becomes police chief of the Railroads. He takes again his post of police chief of the Grounds of the Crown under the Boucher governments of Boucherville and Taillon. He becomes Prime Minister of Quebec of the May 11th 1896 with the May 24th 1897. This marks the last time that the Conservative party holds the capacity in Quebec. Thereafter, there remains chief of the Conservative party until his defeat in its district with the elections of 1904.

After its death in Quebec in 1927, it is buried with the Cimetière Our-Lady-with-Belmont with Holy-Foy (Quebec).
