Edmond de Langley

Edmond de Langley (June 5th 1341, Kings Langley, Hertfordshire - 1402, Kings Langley), was Count de Cambridge starting from 1362, Duc of York (1385), and knight of the Order of the Garter (1361).

It was the fourth wire of the king Edouard III and Philippa de Hainaut.

It is constable Château of Dover and Lord guard of the five Ports of 1376 to 1381.

Co-regent of the kingdom of England during the minority of its nephew Richard II.

Guard and lieutenant d' Angleterre of 1394 to 1395 then in 1396 and 1399 (during forwardings of the king Richard II in Ireland).

He marries in first weddings with Hertford, on March 1st 1372, Isabelle de Castille (1355-1393) and of Leon (girl of Pierre Ier the cruel one and of Maria de Padilla). He marries in second weddings, in 1395, Lady Joan de Holland (girl of Thomas Holland, 2nd Count de Kent, knight about the Jumper - half-brother of the king Richard II - and of Alice FitzAlan).
