Edmond Fleg
Edmond Fleg , born Flegenheimer the November 26th 1874 with Geneva and dead the October 15th 1963 with Paris, is a thinker, novelist, an essay writer and a man of theater French.
Born in a comparable family, it is the Affaire Dreyfus which will mark its bringing together and its anchoring with the Judaïsme. It was impressed by Israel Zangwill one of the first partisans of the Sionisme. After having been with the Foreign legion during the First World War, it passed its life to look further into its knowledge of the Judaism and to divide them through its writings.
He is the author of a vast poetic fresco in four volumes: Listen to Israel, the Eternal is our God, the Eternal is One, And you will love the Eternal. He also translated part of the Bible into French: The Book of the Beginning: Genesis (1946) and delivers It exit of Egypt (1963).
He was also librettist of opera for Ernest Bloch ( Macbeth ) and Georges Enesco ( Oedipus ).
Edmond Fleg is one of the founders of the Friendship Judeo-Christian of France, with, amongst other things, Jules Isaac.
In 2003 in its collection " Reprinted by Huber" , published by the Publisher Huber & Co. to Frauenfeld (Swiss) Charles Linsmayer presented the novel " the child prophète" ave a biography and much of unseen photos of Edmond Fleg. Text which is also occupied for the first time of mysterious disappearance of the bottom Edmond Fleg in 1973, after the dead of her widow, of the Parisian apartment of the couple. Unfortunately the book exists only in German. Its title exact is: Edmond Fleg: " The Child prophète" /" Das Prophetenkind".
