Edmond Colmet de Santerre

Edmond - Louis-Armand Colmet de Santerre , born with Paris the January 26th 1821 and died in Paris the December 28th 1903, is a Jurisconsulte French.

He makes his studies with the Lycée Charlemagne, then with the Faculty of Law of Paris. In 1841, it obtains its license of right and exerts as lawyer at the royal Court of Paris. Named temporary professor starting from 1850, it becomes in 1863 titular of the pulpit of Code Napoleon with the Faculty of Law of Paris, from which he is the senior starting from 1887. He is elected member of the Academy of Science morals and political in 1888.

All its work concerned the civil law. He is the continuator of the analytical Cours of the Code Napoleon of Antoine-Marie Demante, initially entitled analytical Cours of the Civil code and published in nine volumes between 1849 and 1884, and the author of a elementary Manuel of civil law , published in three volumes in 1882.
