Claude Moine , more known under the pseudonym of Eddy Mitchell , sometimes called Schmoll , is a singer and actor French born the July 3rd 1942 with Paris (Quartier of Belleville). It is by admiration for the singer and actor Eddie Constantine that it chooses like pseudonym the Eddy first name.
Its group, Five Rock'n'rolls , was débaptisé and famous without their knowledge the Black Socks by Eddie Barclay, owner of its first recording company, which had concluded a promotional agreement with the Wool ones from Roubaix.
Youth
Having assembled its first rock group as of the 14 years age, in 1956, the young Claude Moine will be regularly on scene, until in 1961, in particular in the “temple of the rock'n'roll”, the Golf-Drouot with Paris. The dedication will come as of 1961 with the sales impressive from the discs from its group the Black Socks.Previously, he exerts several small trades, in particular dispach rider in an agency of the Crédit Lyonnais located near the Golf-Drouot where he spends his afternoons regularly.
Eddy Mitchell will choose however to start, with its return of the military service in 1963, a career in solo which saw it undergoing several “metamorphoses”, generally with a certain success.
The film enthusiast
His/her father, modest employee of the RATP, transmitted as of his more young age to Eddy an unquestionable taste for the cinema, in particular for the American Western S of the Années 1950. This passion of youth will remain and appear at the great day, when, with the approach of forty, starting from 1982, Eddy Mitchell animate during long years (the emission will last until 1998!), on FR3 (current France 3), the Last Meeting , kind of monthly film club primarily devoted to the American cinema of the years 1950, all kinds confused, each evening including/understanding a film doubled in French, cinema news of time, cartoons then a film in subtitled original version.
