Eddie Irvine

Eddie Irvine (Bangor, County of Down, November 10th 1965) is an automobile old driver North-Irish.

Biography

Influenced by his/her parents who also evolved/moved in the medium of the races, Eddie Irvine begins his career from pilot in 1983. Winner of prestigious Formulated Ford Festival of Brands-Hatch in 1987, it passes to the Formule 3 in 1988, before disputing the international championship of Formule 3000 in 1989 and 1990, on behalf of the Jordan stable. But without money to continue its career in Europe, it is obliged to leave to Japan, where it disputes the local championship of Formula 3000.

At the conclusion of the season 1993, Eddie Jordan, which assembled a team of Formula 1 meanwhile proposes to him to dispute the GP of Japan with Suzuka. Irvine which knows the Japanese circuit by heart does not let pass the occasion to point out itself. It finishes 5th of its first GP, after having delivered under the rain an astonishing brawl with the leader Ayrton Senna who vainly tried to take a turn to him. Without activity since, its name however reconsidered the front the scene in 2005 when rumors evoked its possible repurchase of a stable of F1 (Minardi then Jordan/Midland) in partnership with the Russian business man Roustam Tariko
