Economy of the Latin America

The situation of the economy of the countries of Latin America is very variable of one country to the other, so much on the level of GDP (explainable partly thanks to the size of the population), of the Business partners (due partly to the geographical factors), of the Inflation, the Pauvreté/Richesse, of the exported products, etc

The two greater economies in term of GDP are the Brésil and the Mexico which are also the two most populated countries area.

National debt

Many countries of the zone are heavily involved in debt and devote each year most of their budget to the refunding of the debt. The debt of these countries worries certain governments which must make efforts to profit from the loans of the the IMF or the World Bank. Argentina underwent besides an serious attack and suspended the payment of the debt.

In 2001, the external Dette of the Latin America would reach 760 billion dollars, whereas in 1995, it was of 650 billion dollars.

IDE

In 2002, IDE protested to 69 billion dollars compared with 42.5 billion dollars in 2001.

Foreign trade

The Venezuela, the Mexico, the Argentine, the Colombia, and the Ecuador export more Pétrole that they do not import any. These countries generally profit from the rise of the oil prices, because that means more receipts when they have national companies, more d' taxes on the concessions, and more re-entries of currencies.

The export of the ores occupies a considerable share in the economies of the Bolivia, of the Chile, the Peru and the Mexico.
