Economy of Peru

The Peru is the sixth economy in importance of Latin America after the Brésil, the Mexico, the Argentine, the Colombia and the Chile.

The economy of Peru is based on the exploitation, the transformation and the export of its natural resources, agricultural and marine.

The majority of the Peruvians saw lines of business, exploitation and export of the natural resources or agriculture. The country started a process of industrialization based on an economic opening and a fiscal policy and very solid monetarist. The purpose of this policy is to make the economy Peruvian stronger. The purpose of this economic opening began under the reign from the government from Alberto Fujimori from 1990 and was to face the economic crisis which had destroyed industry and had caused a hyperinflation, ever seen in America. However the good performances recorded on the macro-economic level, if they allowed an increase in the tax re-entries of the government, are long in being diffused in the Peruvian company which is very uneven and still suffers from a strong emigration of its inhabitants towards North America, Europe, Japan and the other countries of Latin America. This emigration constitutes however a source of re-entry of currencies for the country thanks to the family mutual aid.
