The Loiret is a French Département located at approximately 100 kilometers in the south of Paris.

Companies

Nearly 60% of the companies are located in periphery of Orleans (20% close to Montargis. The three-quarters than 20 paid less. Only 38 establishments employ more than 250 paid.

The sales turnover increased by 4,1% in 2005 (against 3,1% for France). The share of exports accounts for 17,7% (against 33,5% in France). These last account for 38,9% of exports of the area Center. The number of employees increased of almost 19% over the 15 last years (against 14,8% for France).

The number of employment in the private one dropped by 0.8% between June 2005 and June 2006, is a reduction of 1444 stations (against an increase of 0,6% in the Center area and 1,3% in France).
