The Loiret is a French Département located at approximately 100 kilometers in the south of Paris.
Companies
Nearly 60% of the companies are located in periphery of Orleans (20% close to Montargis. The three-quarters than 20 paid less. Only 38 establishments employ more than 250 paid.The sales turnover increased by 4,1% in 2005 (against 3,1% for France). The share of exports accounts for 17,7% (against 33,5% in France). These last account for 38,9% of exports of the area Center. Essence is done towards the European Union (73% compared with 66% for France) and marginally towards the other countries.
Loiret comprises three poles of competivity: the Cosmetic valley dedicated to industries of cosmetics and perfumery, the pole of sciences and systems of electrical energy and Élastopôle (industry of the Rubber S and polymers.
Employment
On: 633400 inhabitants, Loiret counts in 2004: 18424 nonpaid employment and: 251888 employee jobs.The number of employees increased of almost 19% over the 15 last years (against 14,8% for France).
The number of employment in the private one dropped by 0.8% between June 2005 and June 2006, is a reduction of 1444 stations (against an increase of 0,6% in the Center area and 1,3% in France).

- Mr. Bricolage SA, purchasing group located at Vault-Saint-Mesmin with a manpower of 295 people;
- Arvinmeritor Lvc France, automobile equipment located at Saint-Jean-of-Sling with a manpower of 443 people;
- Lexmark, equipment of offices located at Boigny-sur-Bionne.
By decreasing order of manpower (figures 2005):
- La Poste in Orleans (Center of accounts - postal checks of Orleans-the-Source) with 2400 people;
- Hutchinson with Châlette-on-Loing with 1678 people;
- Perfume Christian Dior with Saint-Jean-of-Sling with 1579 people;
- Agricultural credit Loire Center with Saint-Jean-of-Sling with 1150 people;
- EDF - Dampierre with Dampierre-in-Burly with 1100 people;
- Servier in Orleans, drug company with 1100 people;
- Sanofi Aventis in Amilly, drug company;
- Maury Printer with Malesherbes with 1100 people.
Agriculture
It counts nearly 4000 paid in 4200 farms.The wines of Orleans and Orleans-Cléry profit since 2006 from the name from controlled origin Orleans.
