Economic commission for Africa
The Economic commission for Africa of the the United Nations ( ECA ) was established in 1958 to encourage the economic cooperation between its Member States (nations of the African continent). It is one of the five regional commissions of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC) and account returns to him directly. The Commission is composed of 53 Member States. It sits at Addis-Abeba in Ethiopia but has also five sous-régionaux offices.
The Commission comprises six organic divisions in charge of the execution of the programs:
- Development policy and management
- Economic policy and social
- Equality Man/Woman and development
- Information for the development
- Sustainable development
- Trade and regional integration
