Economic and social cohesion

The economic and social Cohésion is a concept of the European Construction. It is based on the idea that to create, maintain and develop effective common policies, one needs homogeneous economic developments in the various areas which compose the European Union.

Economic and social cohesion profits from an head office within the Commission of the European Communities. This direction belongs to attributions of the European Commissioner in charge of the regional policy.
