Ecological reserve of Valley-of-Ruiter

The ecological Réserve of Valley-of-Ruiter the is located at 4 km in the North-West of Mansonville, on the slope of the Monts Sutton. This territory protects a leafy forest from the ecological area of Sherbrooke to which belongs to the field of sugar érablière with Tilleul and of the sugar érablière with yellow Bouleau.

In 2007, the Foundation of the fauna of Quebec joined the Université of Montreal in a project of acquisition of knowledge on the Couguar of the East. The study made it possible to establish, in an irrefutable way, the presence of the Espèce in Quebec, in particular on the territory of the ecological Reserve of the Valley of Ruiter.
