Ecological reserve Marie-Jean-Eudes

The ecological Réserve Marie-Jean-Eudes is located at Saint-Alexis-of-Mounts inside the faunal Réserve Mastigouche, close to the lake Shawinigan. This site protects a settlement from sugar érablière with yellow Bouleau, an ecosystem representative of the averages Laurentides of the Mauricie.

The name of the reserve returns honor to sister Marie-Jean-Eudes (Marie-Bernadette Tellier) (1897-1978), botanist and pionnière of the natural science to the Quebec.
