Ecological Reserves of Quebec

With the Quebec, the ecological reserves are protected territories dedicated to the conservation, education and research. They are generally prohibited to the public, except for those of the Serpentine-with-Coleraine, the Forest-the-White and the Peat bog-with-Lanoraie. They are managed by the Ministère of Sustainable development, the Environment and the Parks of Quebec. According to the classification of the protected areas of the International union for the nature conservation, the ecological reserves of Quebec belong to the 1a category, i.e. more the high level of protection in the world. Thus, there is no exploration or exploitation of the natural resources, no road can pass in the reserve, no equipment energy is not allowed and activitées of hunting, piégage and fishing are prohibited.
