Eberhard Werner Happel

Eberhard Werner Happel , born the August 12th 1647 with Kirchain, in the Land of Hesse, and dead on May 15th, 1690 with Hamburg, was a German writer.

Biography

Wire of Pasteur Lutheran, he studied mathematics and medicine until 1668, then, started studies of right to Marburg; he lived then with Hamburg as professor and writer. In its novel Romance Akademische, worrinnen das Studenleben furgebildet STI , it describes the life of the students after the thirty year old war. It translated Valérius Maximus and wrote a historical work, to which belonged the Grosste Denkwurdigkeiten der Welt oder sogennante relationes curiosae , collection of a fantastic and magic popular culture.
