Eating inventory, of Stunkard and Messick
The Eating inventory , worked out by Stunkard and Messick (1988), comprises a French version, which was translated by Christine Turcotte. This one is useful for the evaluation of the food disorders (Boulimie) and of the Obésité, before and after the treatment. It can be also used to identify changes on the level of the Alimentation for patients who ceased smoking. It explores three dimensions such as the cognitive restriction vis-a-vis the food, the désinhibition and the regulation of the hunger. This tool can be appropriate as much for the adults that for the teenagers. It contains two parts; one, comprises 36 questions (truth or forgery) with options in connection with the dietary habits and the other, raises 15 questions about states, thoughts or behaviors in connection with the meals, the food, and the weight. The time of making is fast (10-15 minutes). Thus, this tool will help us to include/understand the cognitive processes in relation to the hunger, the food behaviors and their adaptation or their control.
