Easy listening
The term easy listening is a general term gathering several universes musical (what makes of it a inventory in Prévert), which indicates calm musics, mélodieuses and elegant. For this reason, it is more a Adjectif than a particular Musical genre.
One finds there at the same time artists of the beginning or middle of the 20th century and others regarded as making Electronic music.

In the past, it was the translation English E of Light music. It is a neutral term, which thus returns in contradiction with its very pejorative equivalent today Muzak. Attention however not to confuse the two terms.
