Comments

Although short, this serial, adapted novel of Georges Coulonges, which also wrote for television Coffee break or Joelle Mazart , marked the memories and obtained a considerable audience in this summer 1984.

This serial seems to be the outline of the Saga of the summer. Its history has all the strings of them. A heroin of its time which wants to defend its ground vis-a-vis not very scrupulous neighbors, a devouring passion and a solidified place, source of all rancours.

It is however not the stereotype in its form since it is a serial runs (3 episodes 52 minutes) and consequently does not hold in breath during several weeks as a saga would do it.

In spite of its twenty years, this serial did not lose anything in charm and majesty. It is deplored however that no repeat broadcast has taken place for more than 15 years.

Who doesn't have in memory this terrible final scene where Sauvine fall from the wings of the mill? A masterly work!
