Earl Wild
Earl Wild (born with Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the November 26th 1915) is a pianist and American Compositeur celebrated for the quality of its play and its many transcriptions for piano of Classical music and Jazz.
Early child, he was the pupil of Selmar Janson, Egon $petri, Paul Doguereau and Helene Barere, wife of the large Russian pianist Simon Barere. He appeared with the public in 1942 while interpreting, on the invitation of Arturo Toscanini, the Rhapsody in Blue of George Gershwin. After the Second world war where he was musician in the marine , he joined the American Broadcasting Company as pianist, leader and type-setter, station which he preserves until in 1968. Its international career of virtuoso continues since consequently. In 2005, to the Carnegie Hall of New York, it gave a concert for its ninetieth birthday.
Wild is known in particular for its work on the work of George Gershwin and especially of Sergueï Rachmaninov, with transcriptions of its melodies and exceptional interpretations of the Third Concerto for piano and of the Rhapsodie on a topic of Paganini .
