ETR 600

ETR 600 / ETR 610 is the last evolution of the Italian train at high speed Pendolino of IV generation.

Direct successor of the trains FIAT Pendolino of 3rd generation which ETR 460 /470/480 are , this new version was already ordered from 28 specimens by Trenitalia in delivered the ETR 600 and by Cisalpino (FS + CF) in delivered the ETR 610.

Their commercial startup is planned for the middle of year 2007, the first oar carries out its tests of aptitude on the Italian ways at high speed between Milan and Rome.

Like its famous predecessors, it preserves the famous system of pendulation (tilting), patent FIAT Ferroviaria, which makes it possible the oar to approach any curve at a speed definitely higher than any other convoy.

The ETR 600 is composed of 7 cars, including one for the bar/self-service service, while in the ETR 610, this car is equipped while restoring.

The food of the convoy is of 3KV and 25kv50Hz (to circulate on the lines at Italian high speed) on the ETR 600, it is politension 3kv, 25kv and 15kv (for the Swiss and German network) on the ETR 610. ----
