ETR 470
ETR 470 is a pendular oar Bi-tension at Italian high speed, derived from FIAT Pendolino ETR 460 equipped especially to circulate on the networks of Italy, Switzerland and Germany to the following tensions:
- Italian: 3.0 Kv DC,
- Swiss + Germany: 15 Kv 16 ⅔ Hz.
The ETR 470 was built in 9 specimens specifically in delivered the Cisalpino in order to serve destinations between Italy, Switzerland and Germany from which it has the respective safety equipments. Since 2006, the ETR 470 do not circulate any more on the German network and are confined in the service roads between Geneva, Zurich or Basle and Italy.
The maintenance of trains ETR 470 is ensured by the FS TrenItalia in Milan. The crew is composed of agents of FS - Trenitalia and of the CF - Swiss FFS.
The management of the car restoring is entrusted to Chef Express train, company of the Italian Group Cremonini European specialist in the field.
The oars of the next generation are already in the course of certification and should be brought into service at the beginning of 2008 on Geneva in theory; they are ETR 610.
