ESPN

ESPN Inc ( Entertainment Sport Programming Network Incorporated ) is a television network on the sport. The company is American but many subsidiary companies cover the whole world. The chains of the group became references as regards sport which one could compare with CNN (with the fact of its glory) for the current events.

The group is currently a subsidiary company with 80% of the Walt Disney Company and is associated with the network of ABC. Chain ESPN alone is looked by 88 million the American home.

History

The February 8th 2007 Disney and ESPN announces that the license Mobile ESPN will be granted of exclusiveness Verizon Wireless through its offer: $15 per month V CAST for 15$ per month. Moreover chain ESPN will be available on the mobile service MediaFLO TV of Qualcomm.

ESPN was at its origin in 1979 an association between the Getty Oil Company (repurchased by Texaco) and Nabisco. Then in 1984, the totality of the networks and franknesses from ESPN were repurchased by ABC (80%) and the Hearst Corporation (20%).
