ENDO (medium)

ENDO is the name of a Culture medium used in Bactériologie for the insulation and the identification of the bacteria.

Use

Insulation of the Entérobactérie S of food products and control of sterility.

Composition

  • peptone: 10,0 grams;
  • lactose: 10,0 grams;
  • basic fuchsine at 10% in the ethanol: 4,0 millilitres;
  • hydrogénophosphate of Potassium: 3,5 grams;
  • Sulphite of sodium: 10,0 grams;
  • agar: 15,0 grams;
  • pH = 7,5.

Preparation

36 grams of powder per liter. To add the basic Fuchsine. Traditional pressure-sealing.
