EFAF Cup

EFAF Cup is a cut of Europe of American football putting at the catches various teams of the Old continent.

Presentation

This competition succeeds the Euro Cup disappeared in 1999 and the Fed Cup disappeared in 1998. The first edition takes place in 2002.

The EFAF Cup is equivalent to the UEFA Cup for the Football. It gathers clubs of the various European championships appearing among best of their country. This competition is also the occasion for the clubs of small championships to play international level. The participation in this cut is only possible on invitation of the European Federation of American football (EFAF).

Course of the competition

The EFAF Cup is held in two phases:

In the first phase the clubs are divided into four groups according to their area. Each club plays:

1 match vis-a-vis each other club of the group if the group includes/understands 3 clubs.
2 matches vis-a-vis the other club if the group includes/understands 2 clubs.

The first of the group at the conclusion of this phase is qualified for the second phase.

The second phase corresponds to the play-offs and is organized in semi-finals and finale. The meetings are determined by drawing lot. Then the winners of the semi-finals clash finally.
