ED Macauley

Charles Edward " Ed" Macauley (born the March 22nd 1928 with St Louis, Missouri) is a former professional American player of Basket-ball.

Macauley began with St Louis University High School, then passed by the Université Saint Louis, where its team gained the championship National Invitation Tournament in 1948. It was named " AP Player off the Year" in 1949.

Macauley played in NBA with the St Louis Bombers, the Boston Celtics, and the St Louis Hawks. Macauley was named MVP of the first NBA All-Star Range (he played the seven first) and was named in the All-NBA First TEAM three consecutive seasons. It was named in the All-NBA second TEAM once, in 1953-54; season when it was most skilful of the league. Macauley was transferred (with Cliff Hagan) to St Louis in the transfer apporant Bill Russell to Celtics. Macauley registered 11234 points in ten seasons NBA and was introduced with the Basketball Hall off Famed in 1960. It also has a star with the St Louis Walk off Famed.

In 1989, Macauley was ordered Diacre Catholic church. He is joint author of the book Homilies Alive: Creating Homilies That Hit Home (ISBN 0-89622-574-7).
