ED is a French sign of Maxidiscompte created in 1978. ED belongs to the group Carrefour. At January 1st, 2007, it counts nearly 850 stores in France and: 11000 paid. The set of the stores ED is primarily food, the fresh produce being placed in the middle of the positioning of the sign. ED also has its Dia own brand and accommodates the famous brands leaders.
ED repurchased the chain of shops discount Penny market in the month of May 2005.
In addition the group Provencia has 5 stores with the sign ED: 2 in Isere and 3 in Haute-Savoie.
