ECW FTW Heavyweight Championship

ECW FTW (Fuck The World) Heavyweight Championship (also called Brooklyn World Championship ) was an alternate title with ECW World Championship disputed with ECW. This title can be compared with the Million Dollar Championship with the World Wrestling Federation.

History

Taz announced the creation of FTW Heavyweight Championship on May 14th, 1998. Frustrated by impossibility of fighting Douglas Shane (which was absent and refused to fight against him) for ECW World Championship, Taz created its own world title, proclaiming the " vrai" world champion.

Taz lost the title only once, putting a inanimate Sabu on him to let it gain on December 19th, 1998 (it was certain to gain the title against Shane Douglas in their match for the title and did not need thus more the FTW Heavyweight Championship). Taz regained the FTW Heavyweight Championship with Living Dangerously the March 21st 1999, where it unified the FTW Heavyweight Championship and the ECW World Heavyweight Championship (which it had gained meanwhile) by beating Sabu. Taz did not use then any more that belt ECW Heavyweight Championship.

Title FTW was ressucity by Chris Chetti, which introduces the title with NWA Midwest the November 23rd 2002 after having lost the BMF Championship (a title hardcore). Chetti defended it with the Maryland Championship Wrestling in 2003 and lost it against Danny Doring at the time of last show MCW the July 16th 2003 when Doring beaten champion MEWF Romeo Valentino and Chetti in a match with 3 to unify their titles with his MCW Heavyweight Championship. Title FTW was thus abandoned.
