E-100

History

The heavy tank E-100 (for Entwicklung = development of 100 tons) was only heaviest of a series of machines intended to replace all the range of the German tanks in service after 1945. Only the prototype of this enormous machine was not completed. It was based on the experience gained by building the Bengal tiger and the Maus. The final version should have been armed with a gun of 170 Misters.
