In 400 P.A., benefitting from its absence, its wife and her son flee Nan Elmoth to go to Gondolin. Refusing to obey Noldo, it chooses death for him and his/her son, seizes a javelin and projects it on Maeglin.

But Aredhel interposes and the javelin wounds it with the shoulder; she dies a little later the point being poisoned. For this murder, Eöl is condemned to died and is thrown dens Caragdûr, a chasm in the north of Gondolin.
