Dzoungarie
The Dzoungarie or Djoungarie (of the Mongolian züün gar : left hand) is the northern part of the Xinjiang, located at the north of the Tian Shan (“celestial mounts” in Mandarin). More rarely, the name was in the past transcribed Soungarie in French (beginning 20th century).
